This Residence is located on the Váci street (major shopping street in Budapest) between the Chain Bridge and the Vörösmarty Square with the famous, old-fashioned Gerbeaud Café House. The most important sights of the city are in walking distance, and you can also jump into the culinary delights of the area, full of restaurants, bars and cafés. The Residence houses two apartments, Apartment "A"and Apartment "B". The residence can accommodate maximum 6 persons, the apartments are fully separated from each other, each with private bathroom with shower, hair-dryer, cable TV, hifi, mini-bar, free wi-fi internet, and fridge. Váci Utca Residence Location and SurroundingsThe house is situated in the main shopping street of Budapest, only 50 meters from River Danube. Step out of the front door and you are on the famous Váci street, surrounded by hundreds of boutiques, shops, cafés and restaurants. Many of Budapest famous sites are within walking distance. BasicsTrafik – just in front of the main entrance you will find this small shop, where you can buy postcards, cigarettes, newspapers from all over the world, phone card, maps and public transport tickets. Nearest non-stops – Szervita Square and Deák Ferenc street (in front of Kempinski), both just two steps from the main entrance of the house. Fast food – you can find McDonalds, Burger King, Submarine and Vapiano just at the corner in Váci street, two minutes walk (but only for emergency purposes:-) Local authentic MENZA places for lunch – very cheap but very good food, only open during lunchtime and workdays. It sells typical Hungarian food with quality around 4-7 euros/person. Városház Grill – which we call simply Kiabálós (Yelling) since the old lady coming out of the kitchen, selling the food shouts/yells the name of the food ordered previously. They do not speak any foreign languages, but it is always full with youngsters who might help you out! Address: Városház utca 16. Paprika – Real self-service restaurant from the early 80’s, and also sells morning pastries during breakfast-time. In Városház utca. Gerbeaud Cofe-House – situated just on the corner, on the Vörösmarty Square. Budapest’s most famous old-fashioned patisserie and cofe-house, with best pastries in town. If you happen to be here during Xmas, Easter-time you will find an unique and authentic market on the square. Onyx Restaurant - a very posh restaurant in Gerbeaud, with gourmand food and best Hungarian vines. They also have 3 course lunches for 3 000 HUF/person. It really worth to try! Open all week, except Sundays!

Vörösmarty Square – only two steps from the main entrance you will find this old and charming square with the legendary Gerbeaud House which is famous for its Café, Beerhouse and a posh Restaurant, Onyx. The Square is also home for the traditional Christmas market where locals and visitors can purchase quality folk arts and handmade crafts.
Erzsébet Bridge – is one of the most prominent symbols of Budapest and is situated at the narrowest part of the River Danube. It is named after Queen Elisabeth, a popular queen and empress of Austria-Hungary, who was assassinated in 1898.
Pesti Vigadó – just behind the apartment you can find the The Vigadó (literally 'place for merry") which was the premier venue for entertainment, built between 1859 and 1864, and the building is one of the outstanding works of Romanticism. The prestigious Vigadó still exists, hosting not only entertaining events, but also a gallery and a concert and theatre hall.
Duna Korzó – this promenade which is situated in front of Pesti Vigadó, with its ornamented lampposts and benches was developed fully roughly a hundred years ago. It tempts visitors both to take a walk and to enjoy the panorama of the Danube.
Chain Bridge – a few steps from the Pesti Vigadó, along the Danube you will see The Bridge which is Budapest's premier bridge both in terms of its age and its fame. The Chain Bridge was a world sensation in its day and had only one match in London. Not surprisingly the design is also English.
Gresham Palace – the seat of the former Gresham Insurance Company is among the most splendid palaces in Budapest, a masterpiece of Hungarian secession style. This palace has been refurbished as a luxury hotel. Its shopping arcade is an architectural rarity as it is the oldest intact covered shopping street in Budapest. Gresham Palace is situated in front of Chain Bridge.
