This Residence is located on the Október 6. street between the Chain Bridge and the Basilica, facing a nice park. It is possible to explore the city by foot, admiring the beauty of well-known sights and discovering other, less famous but equally fascinating ones.

The Residence is a newly renovated 55sqm large apartment with one 35 sqm living room including a fascinating gallery with king size bed, separate bathroom and toilet, and fully equipped kitchen. The residence is equipped with cable TV, free internet, Playstation with games, hifi.

The residence can accommodate maximum 3 persons.

Bazilika Apartment Location and Surroundings

The Residence is situated in historical building, designed by József Hild in the middle 19th century, and was fully renovated in 2001. The house is located on the József Attila street, only 50 meters from River Danube and the Chain Bridge. Step out of the front door and you are just in the middle of a sparkling district, full of newly built, trendy cafés, restaurants and famous sights to see.

Sights and Historical Buildings

Erzsébet tér – Elisabeth Square is located just in front of the main entrance of the apartment. This is the largest green area of the inner city, incorporating a park with interesting architectural design and the Gödör (Pothole) a Cultural Centre. http://www.godorklub.hu/

 



Bazilika – just 5 steps from the apartment you can find the St. Stephen's Basiica, which is dedicated to Hungary's first king, St. Stephen. This is one of the most impressive buildings of Budapest, and also the largest church of the city.
The cleaned-up front of the church graces the colorful and grand Szent István tér (St. Stephen's Square), where travelers can sip their coffee in open-air cafes and restaurants.
Inside the church, in the Chapel of the Holy Right (Szent Jobb Kápolna), you can see Hungarian Catholicism's most cherished holy relic: Stephen's right hand.

Go up the cupola and have a breath-taking view of the city from above!
Organ concerts are held here at 7pm on Monday evenings from July through October.


Andrássy út – Andrássy Avenue is within 5 steps from the Bazilika. It is a 2,3 km long avenue which connects the inner city with the City Park and the Heroes' Square.
Luxury boutiques, cafés, restaurants and bars create a vibrant atmosphere on the street. Andrássy út is part of the World Heritage and the Opera House, the Ballet Institute, the Terror Museum are also situated here.

Szabadság-tér – Freedom Square laid out in the last century after the demolition of a barracks, where many Hungarian freedom fighters of 1848/49 were executed, forms with the surrounding buildings one of the most charming architectural ensembles of Budapest.
You can visit the Exchange Building and the Hungarian National Bank and the building of the Hungarian Television is also located here.

If you need a snack or a morning coffee, you can find a small cafe just in the middle of the square.

Magyar Tudományos Akadémia – the building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences is situated on the Roosevelt Square, just 2 steps from the apartment. and was founded in 1825, when Count István Széchenyi offered one year's income of his estate for the purpose.

Supermarket – just on the ground floor of the building you can find a supermarket CBA, which is open on weekdays until 8 p.m and on Saturday
until 2 p.m.

Negro –Trendy and fancy bar, on the Basilica square selling good cocktails and drinks.

Café Kör Restaurant - small restaurant at the corner (in Sas street) selling homemade and traditional food on good price. Worth to try!

If you need transport from the airport or back, we can help you by sending one of our private vehicles.

We have 2 residencies, The Váci utca Residence and The Basilica residence, both are situated in a central location and both have a unique Hungarian atmosphere.
